Privacy policy

Rewind VM is made by Lunch Time Surf LLC, a California limited liability company based in Santa Cruz ("we"). This policy covers this website, the Rewind VM engine and command line, and the Rewind VM desktop app.
This website
rewindvm.dev has no analytics, no tracking scripts and no cookies. The page is static HTML hosted on GitHub Pages, and its fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. GitHub and Google see your IP address and browser details as with any web request, and their own privacy policies apply to that.
Your runs stay on your machine
The engine, the command line and the desktop app run on your computer. Your workloads, the inputs they run on, their keyframes, forks and anything you export stay on your machine. We never receive them. They leave your machine only when you share them yourself, for example by attaching an exported run to an issue.
The desktop app works offline
The app does not phone home. There are no accounts, no telemetry and no crash reporting that sends data to us. License keys are checked on your machine, offline, so entering one sends nothing anywhere.
Buying a license
Payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe receives your email address, your billing details and your card to take the payment and send your receipt, under Stripe's privacy policy. We never see your card number.
From Stripe we receive your name and email address. We use them to email you your license key, to resend it if you lose it, to handle a refund, and to answer support requests. We do not add you to a mailing list and we do not sell or share your details.
If you email us, for early access or anything else, we keep the conversation to reply to you. Nothing more is done with it.
What Rewind VM does not do
- No accounts.
- No analytics or tracking SDKs.
- No ads.
- No selling or sharing of your data.
